Hiking in South Moravia
Vineyards, cycle paths along the Dyje river and long-distance trails across the country — Hotel Zetocha stands right on the Austrian border, in the middle of South Moravia at its best.

Road trips
Day trips by car around the area
Hevlín is within easy reach of South Moravia's and Austria's most interesting places. Znojmo with its underground passages and castle, the UNESCO-listed Lednice–Valtice chateau grounds, Pálava with its vineyard viewpoints, or Mikulov — all about forty minutes away by car. The hotel is an ideal base for a different destination every day.

Wine trails
Znojmo wine sub-region
We're right in wine country — the marked Moravian Wine Trails connect vineyards, cellars and wineries throughout the area. We also pour a glass of good wine at Formanka, our cellar pub, so you can finish a tasting just a few steps from your room.

Cycling
By bike along the Dyje river and across the border
South Moravia's flat terrain and Hevlín's location on the border make the area a comfortable starting point for cycling trips — along the Dyje river, through vineyards, and with a short ride across the border into Laa an der Thaya, Austria. You can leave your bike overnight in our lockable storage.

The Czech Trail
A long-distance route across the country
The Czech Trail (Stezka Českem) links marked routes into one long-distance hiking and cycling path across the whole country — and its southern end reaches into the wine country of South Moravia, close to the Austrian border. Hevlín is therefore a comfortable stop or base for the last (or first) stretch of the route. We recommend checking the current route and maps at stezkaceskem.cz, as individual sections are still being finalised.
